Marian Minnen & Bart Naessens Het Centrum voor muziekinstrumentenbouw (Cmb) te Puurs organiseert voor de derde maal het Internationaal Symposium over instrumentenbouw: 'cordeFactum'. Editie 2008 wil een forum zijn waar professionele vioolbouwers en belangstellenden in dit onderwerp elkaar kunnen ontmoeten en nieuwe inzichten kunnen uitwisselen. Internationale autoriteiten op het gebied van instrumentenbouw zullen lezingen en workshops geven, waarin o.a. nieuwe ontwikkelingen of detailstudies zullen voorgesteld worden. Iedere dag wordt afgesloten met een 'Avondconcert onder het lover', met vooraanstaande musici uit binnen- en buitenland. De lezingen worden in het Engels en Frans gehouden.

www.cordefactum.be Le Centre de construction d'instruments de musique (Centrum voor muziekinstrumentenbouw - Cmb - situé à Puurs), organise pour la troisième fois déjà, le colloque international: 'cordeFactum'. Le but principal est de rassembler des luthiers professionnels de toute l'Europe autour du violon, pour se rencontrer et pour échanger des idées nouvelles. Des autorités reconnues donneront des conférences et ateliers sur des thèmes divers et spécialisés, pour présenter des développements nouveaux dans la lutherie, ou pour approfondir une étude dans le domaine. Chaque soir, un concert 'Sous la ramée', regroupant des musiciens internationaux éminents, clôturera les activités. Les conférences seront en français et anglais.

www.cordefactum.be For the third time the Centre for Musical Instrumentmaking (Centrum voor muziekinstrumentenbouw - Cmb - at Puurs), organises an International Symposium: 'cordeFactum' The 2008 gathering intends to be a forum for professional violinmakers and enthusiasts to meet and exchange ideas and views on an informal basis. International authorities on various subjects in the field will lecture and give workshops about new developments in violin making or will study in detail some of the more specific problems occurring. Every day will be concluded by a concert 'Under the foliage', figuring famous musicians. The lectures will be held in English and French.
