Lecture: Basic maintenance of your viol and bow.
In this lecture, that is mainly meant for musicians, Gesina Liedmeier will give answers to some very important questions: What happens to my viol? why does it change so often? what should I do myself and when do I really have to go to the gamba doctor?
Participants are encouraged to please take their instrument and bow, there might be time for advices or first aid as well.
Bio
Gesina Liedmeier began her career as luthier in Paris, and has worked with famous makers in England and France. She has written publications of high quality about the viol and does conservation- and restoration work for the Municipal Museum of The Hague, Netherlands.
The instruments made by Gesina Liedmeier, which have found their way to musicians all over the world, are a delight to the ear and the eye. They are particulary noted for their fine wood carving. www.liedmeier.nl
